In 2012 the IFRC established the Donor Advisory Group made up of representatives from donor governments, member National Societies of those same countries, and the European Union.
As part of the DAG working modalities, field visits to countries where humanitarian needs are high are organized to help the DAG gain an in-depth insight into the work of the IFRC Network on the ground. The 2024 field visit will be to Zimbabwe (4 - 8 March 2024). The key themes of the visit are localization, people on the move, food insecurity and disaster preparedness, response and recovery which will be showcased through various projects/programs, meetings with Zimbabwe Red Cross Society’s (ZRCS) leadership, local authorities as well as external partners such as UN agencies.
